Participating in our civic process is one of the most important rights and responsibilities we have as citizens. If you are 18, or will be by May 5, 2026, this is an opportunity to take part by making sure you are registered to vote.
Many of our students participate in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, so this election includes an item that directly relates to opportunities that impact students across our region.
The May 5, 2026 election is approaching, and it includes Char-Em ISD’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) millage request.
Please see the accompanying flyer for information on how to register.
Complete details about the CTE millage request can be found here:

Voter registration and absentee ballot information is available through the Michigan Secretary of State:

It was an exciting morning for our 6th Grade Civic Leadership class, taught by Mrs. Spence and Mrs. Lewis, as they celebrated the ribbon cutting for EJ Bay, our brand-new student store!
Sixth graders can shop at EJ Bay using EJ Bucks, which they earn by being safe, responsible, and respectful. Thanks to a MiSTEM grant and a Malpass Mini Grant, students were able to purchase the items now stocked in the store.
A big thank-you to the EJ Chamber of Commerce for joining us at the ribbon cutting and helping us kick off the grand opening.

East Jordan Middle/High School celebrated Veterans Day with a special assembly where our students had the chance to hear stories from veterans Bill Chase and Pat McGinn, learn about the history of Veterans Day, and reflect on the importance of serving our country.
A big thank-you to Mr. Pionk and Mr. Hamilton for planning such a meaningful event, and to our students for leading the program so wonderfully!
