Junior, Lauren Smith, has qualified for the Girls Golf State Finals. It will take place at Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek, October 18-19. Congratulations, Lauren!
Aaron Nachazel, a senior at East Jordan Middle High School, has been selected by the Career & Technical Education staff as the CTE Student of the Month. Aaron takes an independent Computer Aided Drafting class, and is also in the Intro to Business course. Aaron plans to study Mechanical Engineering upon graduation. He is the son of Paul and Elizabeth Nachazel.
The middle high school will be taking school pictures on Friday morning, September 20th in the auditorium. Extra picture order forms are available in the office or pictures can be ordered online using the picture day code.
The high school cheerleading program is sponsoring a Red Devil cheer clinic for students in grades K-8. The clinic will meet on September 18, 19, and 20 from 3:00 to 5:15 p.m. in the small elementary gym. Registration is required. Forms are available in the elementary and middle high school offices.
On January 2, the elementary school kicked off their new positive behavior intervention and supports initiative (PBIS). The school-wide expectations are Responsible, Respectful and Safe. We are EJ Proud!
Charlevoix Screen Masters has partnered with East Jordan Schools to open a spirit wear web store featuring EJ Red Devil apparel and accessories. The selection will be different than what can be purchased in the high school Devil's Den store. A percentage of each sale will be donated to the EJPS Athletic Department and Devil's Den. The 6th grade class won bragging rights at the pep assembly on Friday. They had the biggest voices cheering on the football team for homecoming.
