The Devils Den school store is accepting pre-orders for face coverings featuring the school logo. Orders must be placed by Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Masks are $10 each or 3 for $25 and come in several styles. Orders should arrive before school starts in the fall. An invoice will be emailed to you.
East Jordan High School recently received a MCAN grant totaling $2,390 to fund a virtual decision day celebration in collaboration with the City of East Jordan. The focus was to highlight the postsecondary plans of each member of the Class of 2020. Three eighth grade students from East Jordan Middle School have been named local winners in the 51st annual America & Me Essay Contest, sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance. They are Jessica Hitsman, first, Grace Nemecek, second, and Lillian Stone, third. Jessica's first place essay now advances to the state level competition, from which the top ten essays in Michigan will be selected. The topic of the 2019-2020 contest was "My Personal Michigan Hero." Congratulations girls!
Congratulations to high school math teacher Mr. Rob Essenberg for being East Jordan Public School's Outstanding Person in Education for the 2019-2020 school year. Each year school districts in the Charlevoix-Intermediate School District select a teacher from their school to receive the OPIE award. Instead of attending a recognition dinner this year, Mr. Essenberg received cards, cookies, an apple and yard sign decorations in his honor.
Each year, Char-Em ISD hosts a banquet honoring students who have excelled in their Career and Technical Education programs. The banquet was planned to be held April 28, 2020. While we can't gather together, we still want to recognize the hard work of our students in their CTE programs! Students from East Jordan being recognized are:

- Business Management and Administration: Amber Cetnarowski, Klyeigh McDuffie, Ethan Nachazel, Lauren Peterson, Thomas Reid, Shannon Schlueter
- Drafting and Design Technology: Jordan Barden, Chandler Bartig, Michael Kraemer, Judd Wise
- Marketing: Jayden Weber, Molly Kitson, Nathan Newman
- Welding Technology: Lillii Armstrong, Levi Pepin, Nick Wilson
- Woodworking and Furniture Making: Dawson Carey, Cody Ingalls.

Congratulations to our East Jordan CTE starts!
Per MHSAA this is their official statement in regard to all postseason play. The MHSAA is suspending ALL winter sport tournaments indefinitely. No contests until further notice.
