Congratulations to our November student of the month, Lauren Peterson. Lauren is a student in BAMO 2 and Marketing. She plans to be an elementary school teacher after college. Lauren enjoys sports, outdoor activities and is involved in many school organizations. She is the daughter of Michael and Mandy Peterson.

East Jordan senior, Austin Drew, has been selected as the October student of the month for East Jordan's Career Technical Education programs. Austin is currently enrolled in welding and automotive courses. He is working towards becoming a certified industrial pipe welder. He is the son of Gary and Debbie Drew.
Fourty-three seniors attended the East Jordan State of the Community meeting on October 23 at the Harvest Barn Church. Presenters included Sarah Lucas, Tom Cannon, Mary Faculak, Matt Stevenson and Tom Teske representing business and industry, the school, and the city.
The Health Department of Northwest Michigan is offering a flu and immunization clinic on Thursday, October 4 from 3:30-6:00 pm at the East Jordan Elementary School gym. Appointments are required and may be made by calling 1-800-432-4121. Children and students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Payment can be made by insurance card, cash or personal check. No credit cards please.
East Jordan Middle High School sophomore, Dawson Olstrom, has been selected by the CTE faculty as the September 2018 Career & Technical Education student-of-the-month. Dawson's CTE classes include CAD II and Woods II. He plans to be an architect in the future. He is the son of Stacy & Kim Olstrom. Keep up the good work, Dawson!
Socks Kick has donated a basket to be raffled tonight at Homecoming. All proceeds will be given to the East Jordan Athletic Scholarship fund.
East Jordan High School is proud to announce the students chosen for the 2018 Homecoming Court. They are: Tyler Hart, Gus Scheier, Trent Graham, Carlos Vigil, Sawyer Thomas, Justin Barnett, Angie Rowbotham, Bailey Swanson, Madeline Malpass, Maddie Buckholz, Macy McPherson and Jaden McCoy. The king and queen will be crowned on September 28 during the half time show. The football game starts at 7:00 p.m.
