...preparing students for their futures

We are proud to offer a comprehensive curriculum that’s personalized to help students achieve educational excellence. Course options range from college preparatory to Career and Technical Education classes, all designed to help students have a positive transition from school to the world of work or to post-secondary education.

  • Athletics, band, choir, drama, debate, and forensics are just a few of the co-curricular options available to East Jordan High School students.
  • Thanks to the generous support of the Charlevoix County Community Foundation, 60 EJHS students attended an off-Broadway musical production at Michigan State University.
  • The School-to-Work Coordinator works closely with area business and industrial leaders to provide job shadowing, mentoring, apprenticeship and employment experiences for High School students.  Nearly 190 students and 141 businesses participated in these options during the 2006-2007 school year.
  • During the 2006-2007 school year, 84 percent of the students at the High School were represented by a parent at parent-teacher conferences.
  • In addition to the counseling department, East Jordan High School has a Transition Coach who assists senior students and their families with their college plans, including campus visitations, financial aid, college and scholarship applications, and much more.
  • As are all of our schools, East Jordan High School is fully accredited at the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation's highest level.
  • EJHS DECCA students qualified for national competition in Dallas, Texas.  The team competed in a management-level program with an emphasis on financial analysis.
