Healthy schools and healthy communities
go hand in hand.
Five years ago,
the East Jordan Public Schools joined an elite group of just five
school districts in Michigan (out of 600+ public schools and public
school academies), earning the North Central Association's
(NCA) highest level of accreditation, the "Transition Endorsement". The North Central Association
(NCA) is the largest school accreditation agency in the mid-west,
evaluating and accrediting schools in 19 states.
The endorsement was earned as
the result of an extensive, comprehensive evaluation process,
including four visits by an external evaluation team of educators
and business professionals. The evaluation team looked at every
aspect of school operation. Earning the endorsement then, was
a credit to the school's students, faculty and staff, and a product
of the support the school receives from parents and the community
of East Jordan. We honor and thank everyone who helped us achieve
this outstanding goal!
In addition to the NCA endorsement,
the East Jordan Public Schools also continue to meet all of the
requirements imposed by the Education YES! (State) and No Child Left
Behind (Federal) accreditation initiatives.
Healthy schools and healthy communities
really do... go hand in hand.
