Girls Basketball Sportsmanship Award 2014-15

Girls Basketball Sportsmanship Award 2014-15

On behalf of the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan, Better Basketball and MHSAA, Athletic Director Phyllis Olszewski presented East Jordan High School Varsity Girls with the 2014-2015 Top 100 Girls' Basketball Sportsmanship Award.

After each basketball game during the season, officials that worked the game are asked by the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) to provide feedback on the sportsmanship of each school's players, coaches, administrators and fans.  At the end of the regular season this feedback was ranked for all MHSAA schools.  Only the top 100 girls' and boys' teams receive the banner held by Mrs. Olszewski.

Congratulations East Jordan Girls' Basketball team on your outstanding performance and exemplary sportsmanship!

2018 Beyond the Scoreboard Team of Character Award

East Jordan Public Schools is proud to announce the Varsity Competitive Cheer Team was selected as the Beyond the Scoreboard 2018 Team of Character.

You may not find an area team more driven to lend a helping hand than the East Jordan High School Competitive Cheer Team.  With the goal of spreading school spirit and competing in their sport, they've continued to go above and beyond.  Led by Coach Lisa Clavier they assist the Sports Boosters by helping out in concession stands and the custodial staff by setting up and cleaning up after their home competitive meets.  They sponsor and shop for a family during the Christmas holiday, participate in the local community Christmas celebration, assist when asked with things associated with the Jordan Valley Freedom Festival, and even visit a nursing home when their schedule permits.
